Association of TCM Psychology
The International
Association for TCM Psychology (IATP) is
an informal non-profit providing a central
network for collegial research and development
of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) psychology.
The
organization has two divisions: one dedicated
to revival and updating “indigenous
TCM psychology”, blending ancient history
with current clinical experience for sake
of developing new tools for clinical application
of TCM psychology in TCM and all health service
professions. The second division is devoted
to efforts at integrating TCM psychology
with traditional western psychology, psychotherapy
and psychiatry.
Dr.
Michael Guen, founder of
IATP, is holds a doctorate in psychology
from Boston University (1988) and a M.S.C.M.
in TCM from American College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (1993). He is director of
the division for indigenous TCM psychology.
